To those who don't remember, I posted some time ago about my cousin's Rottweiler Rex, who was quite a handful for them. He ripped everything he could apart, he stole washing off the line, he used to jump on and push and trip my cousins wife over when she tried to feed him etc.
Well Rex was here for almost 3 months (he was brought here at age 4 months, left at 7), I trained him up really well. When he left, he sat patiently for his food until I said "take" he chewed ONLY what he was given (pine cones, plastic bottles etc never gave him consumable chews because he buried them, he walked alright on leash, played ball, etc. pretty much acted like a normal, well-raised dog when he left.
They took him back sometimes in July I think and by beginning of August Rex was back to his old ways. Cousin and his wife had not been doing the things I told them EVEN THOUGH I had given them every single resource to do the right things. I taught them over a weekend how to handle Rex and I even proved to them he no longer chewed etc.
At the end of August when they told me about Rex being back to his old ways I said, "You know what, why don't you leave him here forever?", they said no, they like him around, he is a guard dog...
Well. I have just found out they SOLD him at the beginning of this month to a person that "has always wanted a Rottweiler" but has never owned ANY dog. EVER. Let alone a ROTTWEILER who IS destructive! :wall: Oh my *bleep* just shoot me NOW please!
