Just got back from the vets, Misha has a temperature of 40 degrees about 104 degrees F. Is there anything I should be doing /can do to help reduce the temperature?

i would fast her until the temperature returns to normal and just offer plenty of fresh water. if necessary, you can add a little honey.

fever is a protective action the body takes to combat illness, so in most cases it is actually not a good idea to suppress it with artificial means.

Thanks for asking Barb, a little better, but we have another week of antibiotics to go so I'm hoping we see a day by day improvement. She's not lying round in a fever any more which scared me so much on Saturday - phew, but she is still pretty down. The vet thinks she has an infection of the Larynx, so it is hurting her to eat and she is quite weak. She was trying to carry my shoe up the stairs last night and it was too heavy for her, poor baby. Just off to give her this mornings pill....

I'm not sure what Misha eats, but maybe you could make it more of a liquid by putting it in a blender with some water/broth so she could drink it instead of having to swallow pieces of food. I hope she feels better real soon.
