This is Raylan, my hopefully not temperary pup. Hes 4 months and hes a pure breed Jack Russell Terrier. Did i mention hes really hard to take pics of? He never stands still long enough.

Thanks. The relative that I got Raylan from told me that the person who gave Raylan to them, said he was pure, and that both parents were JRT too.

:D Raylan is cute, regardless of heritage congrats on the new hopefully not temporary pup!

(lets not forget people.. purebred is kind of a fluid term and doesn't mean "purebred as in from necessarily the most stellar ambassadors of the breed" Purebred chihuahuas from BYBs and Purebred show chis look very very different, for example)

Good luck on puppy raising!

I only know what I was told. I still think hes a cute little guy. Today, he followed me right into the shower, hows that for potential loyalty. My GSD is highly loyal but he wont even do that. LOL. Maybe Raylan's gonna be my only swimmer this summer.

Super cute. JRTs aren't a breed where you tend to hear people say purebred. They are more a type than a breed. Likely this adorable dog isn't JRT for many generations, though its possible. Who here remembers Scandal?

IME temperament more than looks defines a JRT.

I want to keep him. Lastnight, i had Raylan in his crate, and he kept barking. Keanu went over and laid down next to the crate. A few minutes later, I didnt hear any barking, or whining. Nothing til I got up thismorning. i'm starting to wonder if they'd be okay to play (with supervision) out in the yard together. What do you guys think? Should i risk it, or hold off another day or two?
