Make sure that you watch him over the next few days to make sure nothing pops up and if you are worried about some thing I would take him to the vet!

Is there a knot on his head where he was hit? If not, he may just be bruised, but still keep an eye out for anything "unusual" (staggering, uncoordinated, falling down, walking in circles, etc). If you are worried, take him to the vet.

I would just keep a close eye on him............if he behaves at all odd or stops eating/drinking...........or starts vomitting, then i would take him to be checked over by the vet.
Hope he is ok!!
