I had my Kid home from school today, so we played around with taking pics of Raptor, my Malinois puppy.

My daughter got this camera for Christmas. It was NOT cheap, and I expected it to be better than it is. 100% of the pics it takes are blurry and grainy.

The pictures aren't too bad as far as the grainy/blurry look. I don't know a thing about camera stuff... lol So I don't have any advice to offer as to what may be causing it or what you could change to help it.

Still shows how beautiful your pup is :) I love the black "patches" on the front of his chest!

Perhaps its just the camera settings? Your pup is very pretty.

What kind of camera is it? You may have a setting wrong.

I don't think they turned out bad at all! Lovely subject too.

He's a handsome boy! Perhaps the camera isn't set to auto focus or something... hope you can figure it out!

Thanks! I think he is quite handsome, also. And he works FANTASTIC. :D

The camera is not super expensive. I wanted something a 9 year old could point and shoot. But still, I would think $125 would buy a decent camera.

It is an Olympus VG 140.

I DO have camera experience, I used to take pictures with an SLR that required FILM (I'm that old lol) and all manual settings.

Thank you. He's going to be fun looking when he's all grown up.

We spent yesterday playing around with the settings, I finally got it to take larger pics, have everything set for QUALITY not quantity, but it is just a very strange little camera.

Thanks. See I want clarity and crispness like this pic (who is NOT raptor) This is my old Sony digital camera.

They always do. It is bittersweet, isn't it?

    Thank you!

Adrianne, he is a CHUNK. Honestly, when I was looking at videos of him, I sent one to my friend who owns the sire. She said "Boy is he fat!" He was fat, but even taking some weight off, he is still just...BIG BONED.

Of course, his sire is a big boy. We have another son of his here, who is 28" and 90lbs. I don't think Raptor will be that tall, but he will weigh that much! :lol-sign:

Nice! Riley is 29" and 80-85lbs - he looks kind of like a horse when he runs lol.

I looked at Riley pics, and decided you must be MUCH taller than me lol. Of course, everyone is, I'm short. I will have my daughter take a pic of me heeling with Mauno, and you will see how high he comes on me lol. I am a shrimp.

Yeah I'm 5'9" ish so he doesn't look like a giant when he's beside me in pics. He gets stared at a lot when we go out though, especially from Mal people because he is quite abnormal looking!

    Hehe thanks!

Here is Mauno with Ellis, for size. He is also a Mali-Horse like your boy. :) I don't think Raptor will be that horse size though. Fingers crossed, like I said I'm only a little over 5 foot lol.

Wow yeah he's a big boy! Do you train with Ellis? I have such a hard time holding Riley back and not moving when we are doing bite work... and the decoys have a hard time staying on their feet when he bites legs lol. It's a workout for everyone that's for sure!
