. My nearly-2 yr old dalmatian is a [still quite young] working dog; he is a nonstandard breed for his job and our new dal puppy is meant to, hopefully, follow suit. My puppy is 8 weeks old and comes home this weekend. I have been and will continue reading; I know puppy-raising, proper socialization, vet care, etc. is all so important, any suggestions for raising a working dog from early puppyhood so that she will be well prepared when the time comes for more advanced training? We will be taking a puppy class. Thanks! -Christi
