Rainy days and puppies....aaargh!!!

Yesterday, I wrote an email to my husband (on business trip in Brazil for a few weeks--he missed the neutering drama, entirely) all about how good HIS puppy was being, going to the door nicely to go outside, playing nicely with Woody, etc, etc. Yesterday was a beautiful fall day. Today it's raining. So far he's knocked over his food bowl once, spilled his water dish 3 times, bit Woody, causing a mini-aussie drama, and has just been over-all crazy. Now he's standing in the window barking at--the rain, I guess.

I keep trying to get him to play with the toys he loved yesterday, or work with me on his obedience lessons, but he can't be bothered!!!!

Anyone know of any magic rainy day distractions???

as soon as I hit post...the cat came downstairs and jumped up on my lap, so did Ozzie, and Woody. Help!!!!

I feel for you!! My boy's all grab a spot on the bed & sleep all day Oddly enough even the cat's & guinea pig's sleep all day when it rain's.

Lucky, lucky, you! It still isn't over. He grabbed my cat--who he usually loves--by the tail and pulled him across the room (damned hardwood floors). Poor kitty is ok, though. Not happy, but ok. The pup did nap for awhile, but it was a short-lived reprieve, I'm afraid. He's wilding again now. Oh, for a sleepy, sane dog! And sunshine tomorrow.

Yeah, most the dogs here sleep if it's raining. Hehe, I remember those puppy days though!

Ohh I feel for ya! One time Maddie was being so rotten, I just bundled up and walked her anyway... and it was pouring. But she LOVES water. That was a long time ago, though

The sun is shining, and Ozzie and Woody are playing like good buds, again. Yesterday was awful, though. Later in the day, he grabbed the cat by his tail and dragged him across the floor until I caught up. I kept taking both dogs out for short walks, but they wanted back in. Later, they fell asleep while I was watching tv. Suddenly the aroma in the room was unbearable!!! One or both of them had wicked gas. :yikes:
Ozzie hates getting wet, won't even walk on dewy grass, but if the insanity happens again--supposed to rain again on Wednesday--he's going for a nice long walk!!!!!!
