These 4 are failed fosters :p :
I was originally planning on adopting only Felicity and possibly Kassidy to bond with my boy Keiser, however those plans changed as he passed away...Rest in peace my special boy....

So I decided to adopt her and Kassidy, along with the girl they were housed with at the time since they were so close (Serenity)

A little later, one of the bunnies started showing leg problems, she was developing knock knees. The vet is not entirely sure what is up with her knees, it could be more than one thing, some which she will grow out of, some which she will have her whole life, and some which could progress further, so I was told there is a chance she will be needing medical care for her legs in the future. Well I couldn't let her go after hearing that, and so I adopted Destiny also and bonded her with the other 3. They are now a happy group of sisters :) (btw, there was 8 of them all together, the other fosters have gone back to the shelter to head to the town where they will be getting spayed, mine will be spayed around the end of September)

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/BelovedBunnies/Serenity/serenitygrass1.jpg

She has interesting eyes. If you look in this pic, at the top of her eye she has a blue moon shaped coloring on it:
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/BelovedBunnies/Serenity/serenitygrass2.jpg

Her right eye is the same, however the coloring is on the bottom.

Vet has said it doesn't interfere with her vision any so is just a color abnormality she was born with

The grass is always greener on the other side...

They may look sweet in the pictures, they are, but they also all have ALOT of attitude. Paricularily Kassi and Serenity (Her name is an oxymoron lol) Destiny is a truly sweet little girl, and Felicity fits her name! She's always happy.....Always flopping, and always racing around the room binkying lol

Some piccies of them together:

Destiny with Serenity who's taking a pee :p

"Groom me, slave"

One I caught of all 4 of them cuddling together in a row lol

Here's my foster boy and his hair-do :p

Tried to keep as much of his fur on him as I could, but he was SO matted (Abandoned bun...he was abandoned with two rats I recently adopted. They were all abandoned in an apartment with no food and no water. The rats are pretty unhealthy, being treated for mites and respiratory infections right now) One mat on his chest was the size of my fist - No kidding.

The front of him looks good though :p First long-haired rabbit I've looked after, and grooming him is nuts. I brush him morning, and night, and he still comes up with new mats. Starting to think I should be brushing him more than twice a day.

Anyways, he's half-shaved, half furry - hehe :p

We'll get the hang of this furry nightmare as it grows back in ; )

He's full of attitude and hormones (I couldn't tell you how many times I've been sprayed already lol) --- But oh so sweet ; )

This girl is a recent adoption.
She's an 8 yr old rabbit who ended up in the shelter as the result of a seizure.

She's been there for a few weeks, I decided if she doesn't find a home within a month or so I would adopt her - Her story broke my heart :(

She's spent her years living in the corner of a backyard, in a cage that she couldn't move in. She couldn't stand up, couldnt turn around without pulling herself around with her front paws on the sides of the cage (Which is why her front paw claws were short, but her back ones were terribly over grown) Apparently she was in quite a few inches deep of rabbit urine/droppings, and they said they couldnt do anything about it because she growled at them when they tried.

Well no duh. What kind of sick minded person would think a rabbit would be anything but grumpy in a horrible cage like that, unsheltered from weather extremes.

I was informed no one had shown any interest in this beauty :( I couldn't let her live what remaining years she has left in the shelter - She's never known a good life, there is no way I could have left her.

Her name is Kamea which means "precious one" ----- She truly is a little (big :p ) Treasure. She is quite a big girl.

Here's some pictures:

Between Kamea and Jasper (A little larger than the average border collie.) This is how her and Keiser used to lay together =( Jasper loved it, she's very happy to have a bunny that will lay next to her again.

Thanks guys!

Momof2pups, I have 7 rabbits of my own, plus the foster.

We live in a 3 level split, with a fully finished basement. We have our rodents and rabbits in the basement (Which is also where I sleep lol) and the dogs are banned from down here unless someone is with them, and the cats are completely banned from down here.

Kippes and Kalliope are a spayed/neutered bonded pair, they are in a "puppy playpen" for a cage, so they have tons of room.

My 4 little girls are in an NIC cube built cage, it's made of storage cubes, 4 cubes long, 4 cubes wide, 4 cubes high, with a bunch of shelves to hop around on, so it also has a ton of room.

My foster boy is also in an NIC cage, 3 cubes long, 3 cubes wide, 2 cubes high with shelves.

Kamea, my newest girl is also in an NIC cage, 5 cubes long, 5 cubes wide, but only 2 cubes high with one shelf, because she doesn't think "up" --- She needs the floor space.

All the rabbits are litter trained and take turns having "Free run" of the entire basement :)
