This could be a long list. I'm a freakshow.
- I don't smell dishes, but I blow in glasses. Every time I pull out a glass to get a drink, I look in it, blow in it, then twist the rim against my shirt. Even if it's straight out of the effing dishwasher.
- I never, and I mean NEVER take the last sip of a beverage. Especially with juice, when I get close to the bottom, I tip the glass, and all I can see staring cross-eyed into the bottom of my glass is nasty "drink sand" that makes me want to vom. It drives my Dad and boyfriend banana sandwich that I do this. I feel like the kid on "Signs" that leaves half-empty glasses of water everywhere. LOL
- When I eat a pickle, I have to put the whole thing in my mouth to get all the juice so it doesn't drip, THEN pull it out and take a bite. I try not to eat pickles in front of boys.
- I can't sleep in silence. I have to either fall asleep watching TV or, failing that, with my iPod actually in my ears.
- I can't stand to have any call history in my cell phone's call history. As soon as I end a call, I immediately go and delete it out of the history, so my phone stays "organized".
There are many more "quirky" things I do, but I'll leave you guys with this one, as it's clearly the weirdest.
- I "trace" things with my eyes. Like everything in my surroundings. Have done it since I was a kid. And I "colour" them in, too. Each colour has a number, for the amount of times I theoretically "pass over" it until it's "filled in". White is 1, yellow is 2, 3 and 4 vary, 5 is orange, 6 is blue, 7 is red, 8 is for a shade "darker" in my brain than red, but not as "dark" as green, which is 9, and black is 10. Then there are .5 colours like someone's skin tone (yes, I trace people too) would be 1.5, or dark brown would be 9.5.
I need to be committed. I don't know if it's just a habit I started out of boredom when I was young (I was deemed "gifted" in school and was bored a lot), if it's a touch of OCD because I'm such an organized control-freak Type A personality, or if I honestly just do it because I'm so artistically inclined (there isn't really a medium I DON'T dabble in) and it's naturally the way my brain functions to decontruct objects' basic geometric composition. Your guess is as good as mine. I don't tell many people about it though. It's just too weird.
