Yesterday a pipe burst in my moms basement and so a plumber was called. I wasent there all day and just hoped that my mom and brother would keep an eye out for them. But I know it was hectic here and understand how someone could have slipped outside. Unfortunately it was Quincy my Persian who is not in the best health at the moment. No one had any idea he had gotten out (because he is a hider when strangers, like the plumber is in the house). And then last night I went to let the dogs out back and before I had a chance to think twice about it I let the dogs out and noticed a white long haired thing go scampering off the porch and across the yard. I walked around forever calling to him and shaking his food bag. But it was dark and he wasent coming to me. I think the dogs spooked him. So I left food on the back porch and kept checking every hour or so for him until about 4am. I am worried about him because he is declawed (No I did not have him declawed his previous owner did). My sister lives two houses down and she is on the lookout for him. Anouther worry is that someone might steal him. Since he is a silver and white persian. If someone saw a purebred cat walking the streets I know in this area they are more likely to take it, instead of try and find its owner. He is also a strictly indoor cat. So Chaz vibes would be great. My only comfort is that its spring and warmer. A couple weeks ago he would have frozen to death. My three other cats are still here. And I know for a fact he isn't just well hidden in the house. He would have come down to the basement for dinner like always.
