How much aspirin (buffered of course) can you give a dog?
How much aspirin per X amount of lbs?
What's it for ??? at over 50#s I always gave a whole one .
K thanks Over 50 lbs. A dog that weighs about 85 lbs.
What is the problem though ??? A pill isn't a cure all .
I know. It's just for the pain.
HOw often can you give a dog that size aspirin? Every 4 hours? 3 hours?
What dosage are you giving? I'm assuming a baby aspirin?
That's what we give our dog (she has arthritis and it seems to help a bit) when she's in really bad pain. I wouldn't give much more than that.
We only give one a day. I don't know the dosage on Aspirin for a dog since we don't prescribe it at the clinic.
I would use Ascriptin (buffered aspirin).
^^^^ that's what I use .
I do have buffered dog aspirin here. They are 120 mg tablets and dosage reads like this:
1/2 tablet (60mg) per 10 lbs of body weight every twelve hours. Not to exceed six (6) in a 24 hour period.
Should be given within 30 minutes after the animal has ingested an amount of food equal to 1/3 or more of its normal daily amount.
Should not be given to cats or puppies less than six months old.
If vomiting, diarrhea, depression or loss of appetite occurs, stop administration and consult your veterinarian.
