About 2 weeks ago we got a new puppy a lab/rottie mix. At first my 1 year old shepherd mix showed some aggression and territorial behavior to the new dog but now they have grown to get along. Both dogs in the morning run to either of the other dogs room to see if they are awake (1 dog is mine stays in my room the other dog is my roomates sleep in his room). Anyways, they do play fight alot, and it usually ends with the little puppy soaking wet from all of the slobber. I sometimes intervene when they are wrestling and give them both bones and tell them to stop. My question is should I even allow this behavior?? should i only allow it outside?? Neither dog seems to actually bite hard on the other they just roll around and play, problem is this often lasts for a few hours.
