I'm looking to invest in some clippers to shave my persian every summer. Just a basic shave.

Does anyone have clipper recommendations? I want quality, but I don't want something extrememly expensive.

I'm an Andis girl ;) I'm not a huge fan of Osters. I'll have to look and see what model mine is, though.

Ditto on Oster's HATE them...big, clunky, and loud. I have found the reliability of Andis second to none so would certainly look at that brand.

ABSOLUTELY Agree with past two posts, ANDIS are easy, reliable, and very very easy to fix. Osters are extremely loud, get hot very fast and are HUGE. I've has 1 pair of ANDIS for 2 years now and have only replaced my blade drive which(which should be replaced.)
Remember when your shaving your persian to hold the skin taught so that you don't cut her, and keep your blade cool! Clipper burn is not fun for any animal.
Also #10 blade is really the only blade your going to want to use, keep it simple.
GOOD LUCK!
