I recently noticed that my puppy's hind leg is clicking. He isn't in any pain at all... no limping, no holding leg up, no sensitivity to touch. When i move the lower part of his leg (tibia?) it makes the crack or click. The noise is freaking me out. I found only one mention of this online...a vet said that it can have no cause and also cause no problems, but I'm a little nervous. Has anyone heard of this or had this problem before?
Also, i probably take him for a total of 45 minutes of walks during the day. He's a pomeranian and is almost 5 months. Is this ok? Could it be causing too much joint stress? Or could this be a luxating patella? I thought this caused discomfort in dogs?
