I have a 16 week old puppy and I'm currently working on potty training him. He's been doing a really good job, a couple of accidents every now and then but doing very well.
The other day he and I were in the computer room where his crate is and he was walking around and playing. I turned around to see that he walked into his crate, pee'd, and then started to lick it.
I was completely shocked that he would do this. He sleeps in there every night and hasn't ever gone in there when the door to his crate is closed. I also have an old blanket that I hang over his crate for bedtime. Some of the blanket hangs on the floor and he's been laying on it during the day and playing with his toys. I thought it was nice, but then he also pee'd on the blanket the other day.
I just don't understand why he pee's on things that are 'his'. It's like it doesn't bother him at all.
Any help would be appreciated, this has me stumped.
