Heehee. It's been dribbling icy water/slush for the last few days, but we had our first heavy ice storm last night. There's about 1/2 inch of ice covering everything, and all the puddles and mud from the weekend are frozen solid.

Voodoo had never encountered ice before. He was all excited to see that the rain had stopped. And as soon as I opened the door this morning, the puppy shot outside at a full-tilt gallop. He hit the ice, slid across the courtyard and whacked into the wall. Poor thing! He had this bewildered look like "What the heck just happened?"

Zeus knows what ice is about, so took care and walked slowly. But Voodoo just didn't get it. He'd take off with his normal puppy exhubrance and go slipping everywhere.

When I decided it was time to come inside, I called the boys. Zeus came from around the corner first, trotting with very careful and dainty steps. Voodoo came barrelling full-speed behind him. His feet and legs were flying in all directions, and he was ricocheting off the walls and fence like a giant brindle hockey puck.

OMG, it was hilarious! I just about died laughing. :lol-sign:

Heehee. At least the demon amuses me. ;)

Haha, congratulations Voodoo for the first encounter. We have Ice hear too (I think it's all across the Midwest). Jack knows what it is but he thinks it's fun to slip and slide. I threw his ball for him and he ran under it, ready to catch it like normal, but he couldn't stop lol. Te next time he jumped on the trampoline he slid all the way across it and almost fell off.

Isn't that funny. We are a sheet of ice and this morning I was worried about Tosca going out in her first black ice experience. So I went out with her. She ran right down the back steps to the yard and I fell on my butt. lol She did slip a little on the pavement but other than that she seemed ok, but boy she sure wanted to come back in fast.

Exactly why Im gonna tear out the carpet and putting laminent flooring, just as fun but inside year round.

Once Bailey ran from on side of the yard to the front door jumped on to the porch, instead of sliding to a stop the impact of him hitting the door knocked it open sliding him on the flooring to where the carpet stopped him.

I would have died laughing with you!

Sawyer LOVES ice and snow...the little twerp even likes to show off by taking off running at full speed and then TURNS AROUND and slides backwards, barking the whole time and I just know he's saying "Watch me! Look look look! MOooooom, look what I'm doing!"

LOL! Bimmer loves it . . . He does the sliding thing and gets the grrrls to follow him . . . but when they hit an iced over pool of water that he's slid across the ice breaks under their weight. Bimmer thinks it's a wonderful prank :D
