Okay, so far, my puppy is doing quite fine!

I've attempting cutting his nails, but he's being a stupid little pussy cat and wriggling and squalling in my grip. So I gave up on that for NOW.

I have a question. I've been housebreaking, and he's actually doing really good! I've been using peewee pads, and since... two days ago there hasnt been a single trace of him peeing on the gro- Actually there was, but he's still doing berry berry good.

But I have a question. I'm planning on teaching him to go inside the house, and so far, he's been peeing on the pads. But the thing is, when he gets a little bigger, will he still know that he must go on the pads? Whenever I catch him peeing on the pads I go "GOOOOOOOOD BOY!!!!!!" But when I catch him going on the floor, I put a really urgent tone in my voice and pick him up and set him on a pad. - Do you think i'm doing well?

And also, my puppy is AT LAST, 8 weeks old. I'll have to take him to the vet soon. But the thing is, I've been putting his collar on and all he does it try to chew on it. Image of it below-

Its smaller, and nylon, the lightest one I could find.

So i've been puttin it on, and he's been chewing on it. His father, my old dog had a habit of chewing his leashes and collars all the WAY THROUGH so I had to always go out and buy new ones!

So anyways, any advice or anything?

I can't wait to see pics! I'd say your doing well with the housebreaking, and when he gets bigger he will still go on the potty pads as long as your consistent with it. Does he have a name?

Find something happy does not like the taste of and put that on his harness and lead. (With one of my dogs he liked to chew on cords, and other things, so i used lemon juice. He stopped chewing on those things.) Plus when you see him chewing on something he shouldn't, take it from him, and then gave him an appropriate chew toy. Also keep in mind he will start teething soon, so those gums will be sore! You might be able to find things for him to chew on that will help with the soreness.

Good luck

Okay you guys are just going to murder me, but.... I FEEL SO MEAN!!!! One day, Happy was nibbling on me. And y'know, puppies are supposed to be taught that they shouldnt nibble! So I was peeling garlic/onion thingy-ma-bobbers for my mom, and I rubbed a little bit of the garlic-ky stuff on where Happy was nibbling. And then, when Happy nibbled the spot, he...
*bursts out laughing* I FEEL SO BAD!!!

He jumped like a foot in the air, and glared at the spot, with his tail -He probably doesnt even know it exists yet- all stiff, and he glared, simply GLARED, at the spot. Then he jumps forward, almost as if pouncing, and YIPS REALLY loudly. I end up jumping, and for the rest of the time, Happy just tries to pounce at the spot, but just bounces back, like he was kind of afraid.

:D
Sorry Happy!
