Hey, my name's Mick and i'm new to the board. I have a 3 month old pup named Zane. He's I believe part American Bulldog, and something i'm not sure of. Anyway, he has his regular fangs or k9s, whichever you want to call them. Then behind them he has these hook teeth in his mouth. I know they're his baby teeth, but my concern is are they gonna grow back into adult hook teeth? I've never had a pup with these teeth, so if someone could help me out, i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Well yeah its complicated to explain. I've never seen it before. I tried to get a picture to show you but he doesnt hold still long enough. He has the canines, as you put it, in the front. Then behind that about a tooth away, he had the hook teeth that are also long like canines.

He's scheduled to get neutered and I believe his second set of puppy shots on Tuesday of next week. Why?

When you take him to the vet's have them check his teeth. It's not uncommon for the adult teeth to come in and the baby teeth haven't fallen out yet. It's usually a very easy job of helping the baby teeth out, but let the vet do it. Especially while he is out for the neuter.

Okay. Just one question. Since the canines are in the front. Its the hook teeth we're talking about right? I mean, i'm assuming the vet would know.

I think I know what you're talking about. My pup (about 5 months old now) recently lost her canine teeth. They were long, and slightly curved back like hooks. Behind where they fell out she had her adult canines growing in. The adult canines are now fully exposed and are not curved at all. Have your vet take a look at them when you bring him in though, he can tell you for certain.
