Tips is peeing a lot... Really a lot, and very often. He drinks quite a bit though. But is this normal? I'm worried he may have an infection of some sort. Are there any signs of urinary infection?

Need more info. How young is he, did this just start doing this, is it colored (not normal yellow pee), is he straining, is he drinking more than usual, did it just get hotter in your area?
There are many factors that could have him peeing more. If her is straining or if the color is really off then take him right tothe vet. If you are really worried try calling they can tell you if it is somethingto come in for or something to watch or not a really big deal.

have him checked out. i don't want to be alarmist, but exccessive drinking can be a sign for diabetes and other serious health issues.

He's not drinking more than my other dog. He just seems to be peeing more, although it's mostly in the morning and it's better now... Just this morning he seemed to pee for 30 seconds everytime I took him out. No weird color at all either.

He's 2 1/2 month, it's pretty hot here but I have AC in the room, he was at the vet two days ago and everything was fine, he's just still too skinny because he was at the shelter for 2 weeks... He plays all the time, has good appetite etc (he took 1 1/5 lb in 2 weeks).

I think I'm just dramatizing, lol. I just thought it was weird to see him pee so much in one hour, but he does drink more in the morning as he doesn't have water at night.

I'd keep an eye on him and just try to see if he is drinking a lot more than usual and if the amount in and out seem the same it should be ok. Unless it gets excessive. Then I would have it tested.
You said that he was at a shelter and was skinny. Our little one Mira is also like that, and now that she has eaten some and drank a bit she started peeing a bit more than usual. Actually she peed in my bed (luckily my husband wasn't there b/c it was on his side- actually she was only sleeping in the bed b/c he wasn't their) Anyway I called the vet b/c it seemed like alot and was very clear and didn't smell. She pees tiny pees several times. The vet said that it was probably b/c she was getting wet food and water (more than she had) and her body just could hold it all. She is leveling out and is even peeing in longer spurts and less times. So it might be the same thing. But if you are worried always call the vet. at the very least they can calm your nerves. i did and it really helped.

I have a 5 month old puppy and I got her around 2 months old. She peed all the time and it was little amounts. I would have to make sure she squated twice when I would take her out. It seemed like I was taking her out every 15 minutes to make sure she didn't pee inside. She peed even more after she played, ate or when she woke up. Now she is holding it a lot longer but for a while there I was taking her out all of the time.

It's better today, I haven't noticed anything unusual... I guess he just drank a lot that morning. I only give him dry food and occasional treats (little bits at a time). He's going out every 45 mins-one hour, longer than that and he will pee inside if he's not in his crate (he's almost never in his crate). Last night I told my husband 'can you let him out? he must have to pee'. He said 'how do you know? He was outside not that long ago'. I'm like 'oh, i know'. 2 minutes later he did a huge pee on the floor :p

It's hard to see how much water he drinks however, he has that bad habit of just spilling the water out when he's done... So I give them water every 90 minutes or so (more than that and he will just take a bath again anyway, lol).

Boris drinks just as much but can hold 4-6 hours now, it's nice...

One of my dogs, King doesn't seem to ever drink much, but pees a tremendous amount, it's very potent smelling and very yellow too. Between that and his sleeping more than any previous dog I ever had, I was worried and had a bunch of blood work, and urine analyzed. Total waste of money, except for my peace of mind, as he came back perfect in every catagory. That was 6 years ago. He still sleeps about 20 hours a day and pees a tremendous amount.

He's the healthiest dog I have ever had, by far.

His sister, Molly has major allergies, and bad hips, drinks a LOT of water, and pees very little, and it's not bad smelling (for pee) at all. I don't really understand it, but her blood and urine tests all came back fine too. She sleeps less than half as much as King does.

It's amazing to me how they could be from the same litter, and have the same parents and be so different in so many ways.
