I can't believe some of the stuff I'm seeing in this thread. GizmoBoy, Avoderm is a pretty decent food! It is far better than grocery store brands and even better than some "premium" brands. If you're comfortable feeding it, I think it's a good choice.
That being said, since your dog is a small breed, I don't think it would hurt to feed the puppy food. Just feed a little bit less than the bag recommends just to make sure he doesn't gain too much weight. The only difference is that the puppy food has 26% protein and 16% fat and the adult has 23% protein and 13% fat.. Here are the ingredients (for those that criticize without reading):

The only difference is that the "adult" formula has oatmeal added as a filler to decrease the caloric value. The puppy food is the healther (less filler) food of the two.
