We just had a huge puppy mill bust. A guy was breeding dogs to sell at the flea market, and they were kept in deplorable conditions. So if anyone wants a yorkie, shih-zu, pug, or english bulldog puppy, let me know, because they're all coming to our shelter and we don't have the space for them because of how overcrowded we are with puppies. We're getting about 60 pups in a day. I hope this guy gets life in jail, because he also killed his daughter. Sickening.

When they discovered he had a puppy mill, they investigated his house, and he had been abusing her so bad she died a few days after they took her to the hospital. This is a sick, sick man, for abusing both animals AND children. If it was up to me, he would never see the light of day again!!

If he walks free, the system is exponentially more flawed than I ever suspected.

I find this horrifying on so many levels. Yes, I dispise puppymills, feel badly for the dogs, and hope there are definite consequences if the situation was as bad as you describe. But seriously, does it take caring about how someone treats their dogs to finally notice that the CHILD is days away from dealth? Sometimes as a society it seems we've lost our collective minds as if to place animal welfare above that of our own kind. In my area last year a teacher left her infant in a SUV on a hot day and didn't even notice her as she returned to the car several times to bring in donughts and the child died. She walked free, while a similar case of a dog left in a car got jail time!

Wow that is horrible. I hope all of the dogs are able to find good homes and I hope that man gets everything he deserves.
