Puppy going to bathroom all the time

I have a westie puppy, about 14 weeks old, and I am having an issue with the puppy going to the bathroom a lot. For example, yesterday he ate his last meal at 5pm and from then until 7am, he pooped about 10 times and he also goes in his crate. I called the vet and I have to take a stool sample to him, but has anyone else had this problem?

Both of our dogs pooped around four to five times a day when they were puppies, which was between 7am and 9pm. Now our dogs are 6 and 4, and poop only once or twice a day. As a lot of people know, puppies go to the bathroom more often than adult dogs, but I'm not too sure whether 10 times a day is normal. Make sure to take a stool sample to the vet ASAP, best of luck!

is it diahrea (sp?) or normal. Also how much comes out each time? I know they poop more than older dogs but that seems like a lot. What are you feeding your puppy?

That was my first thought, is it runny? What are you feeding and how many time a day are you feeding? He should be getting fed a good quality kibble at least 3 x a day.
