happened yesterday. 10 wk old puppy, he was not well. kodiak had a bath, took a nap, and when i woke him up he seemed ok just tired. i waseaving to take him to visit my brother and his dogs. when we got there was when i noticed his head kind of going in circles like he was dizzy. all he wanted to do was sleep, so we let him sleep. hour or so later, he woke up and was normal. been normal since. i booked a check up next week. he didnt get into anything. did have turkey. anyone ever had this happen?

In circles? Can you describe that a little more?

Dogs do often kind of do some head bobbing - and if they include some side to side movement it might look like circles - if they're sleepy and trying to stay awake, so maybe that's all it was? 10 week old pups do sleep a LOT.

circles, like side to side and up and down. it wasnt just sleepy, though he is a really devoted sleeper, he wouldnt pass up the opportunity to play with those dogs without feeling bad. i had a thought after i spoke to the vet, stagnant water? he was also a little stiff, groaned when we fussed with him. one other puppy in his litter did this when he still had the litter, but she also vomited. had eaten something she shouldnt have.

How large is the puppy? Sometimes the wee ones can become hypoglycemic. Also, what type of shampoo did you use? Some of the flea, etc shampoos can cause issues with some animals

It could be a seizure or something wrong with his ear(s), so it's good to get him in and have him checked over.

Well the vet said he's perfectly healthy and could not give me an explanation. I guess I'll never know....

They will make you a nervous wreck if you worry about everything that they do. King was sleeping so much when he was little, like the entire first night I had him, and was actually kind of difficult to wake up. He yawned constantly, like 3-5 times a minute, all the time he's awake. He still does, even in the middle of running around, he will yawn. Most of the time he makes an odd noise, like a rusty fence gate opening or closing.

I was sure there was something wrong, even though he was bouncing off the walls anytime he was awake, and could outlast any other pups and dogs he played with. I finally took him to the vet to get checked out, and before they even did anything with him, she said she doubted any dog that was as crazed as he was had any problems. She was right. He's going to be 12 in about 7 weeks, and had a lot of problems a year ago (Cushing's Disease), but he's doing fine now, and still sleeps more than any dog I've ever had, and is even harder to wake up then when he was young.

It really does sound like he was just tired. Gavrovhe will do the same thing when he's really sleepy and he's 3 years old now.
