I'm trying to figure out how old my foster pups are. The woman that had them says they're 12 weeks but I think they're much younger just by the way they act. They both still have "puppy breath". Does anyone have a clue how long puppy breath lasts? I've never really paid attention before!

It definately lasts longer than just weaning them, the puppies in my training classes often had puppy breath!

But no, I dont know how long it lasts. IMO that's probably not a very accurate way to figure out how old the puppies are. Have you taken them to the vet?

I know my cat had some interesting breath up until about 6 months. Willie's funky breath seemed to end at about the time he lost all his baby teeth.

Ripley's 10 weeks and still sort of has puppy breath. It's not quite the same as it was before he was weaned though.

Haven't they been to a vet yet? Toy breeds are very grown up by 12 weeks, giant breeds are very puppyish, so this is a factor to consider.
