Well, my little rescue dog from Oklahoma made her huge trip to Virginia yesterday! Once she arrived it was apparent that I worried much more than she did. :lol-sign: Now she needs a name. Her foster mom has been calling her Gemma. But I am not sure I like it so I am toying with other names.

Thought about:

Zoe - means life
Lily
Brie
Hana - means happy

Here is what I can gather from her personality so far...

Slightly independent but a total ham for the public. She wags her tail at everyone and readily offers puppy kisses. She doesn't have an overwhelming personality but is a total sweetheart. Very curious. Loves to duck under bushes. She likes to pick up leaves. Not afraid of noises/new things. She does remind me of a little bear cub.

Anyway, I am just sooooo happy to have a puppy again. It is scary because it has been about 10 years and I want to do right by her. But I know she and I are good for eachother.

Thanks in advance for any name suggestions!

Oh, and the obligatory pics!

Going with looking like a bear cub:
Bernadette means brave like a bear. Nicknames could be Bernie, Betty, Bea
Ursula means little she-bear. Could be called Sulie or Sula.

Just cute names for a cute puppy:
Ava
Phoebe
Ruby
Olivia
Lexy
Betty

And she is absolutely cute.

Meh...names can wait.

Need moar pics!
lol, as you wish! I cant wait to get a shot of her with her stuffed bear. She loves that thing. She is sleeping in my lap right now with her head on one hand. Sooooo cute, though a little damp from her bath. :p

Here she is giving kisses when i picked her up at the Delta Cargo place...

Got her out of her crate for a quick water/potty break before going home (and she rode in my lap)

meeting my boyfriend

itchy (she has dry skin from being malnurished)

crazy eyes! She wanted to be rough and tumble until she realized how tired she was from the trip

and then the exhaustion set in after her belly was full...

I just love her loooooong tail because it goes *thump* *thump* *thump* when she sees me, when she wakes up, etc... She just met my roommate and her parents and the first thing she does is give kisses and beg for belly rubs.

OMG! She's too cute! What kind of mix is she? In that first picture, she looks a lot like my Jose`, who's a Chihuahua or a Chi mix. (he doens't look like a purebred Chi) Anyhow, she sounds like a really sweet pup and I know you and your b.f. will have lots of fun with her. Your pictures are great!

Look at the similarity. But mostly I see it in their faces, when comparing to your first picture....on top. And Jose` is more slate gray...not black.

OMG! So tiny! So fuzzy! So blinkin' CUTE!!!

I always think Ursula sounds like a female wrestler. :lol-sign: Maybe a little too heavy for such a cutie?

Tinker? Can be altered to "Stinker" when she does one of "those" puppy things!

Cher? Shayna? Wonder Woman? (Wonder's a nice name.)

Onyx? Coal? Snowball? (Confusion to your enemies! :rofl1: )

She is one cute puppy!
Goodness, her little face is so sweet and precious!

Umm, names? I don't know. I can't think about names when that little face is looking at me through the computer screen.

Another pic taken today:

She is most likely a lab cross of some sort. Right now she weighs about 7 lbs and she is nine weeks old. The vet thinks she will be around 30-40lbs when she is full grown.

She does look like a little bear. Very, very cute. Instead of Ursula how about Ursa--like Ursa Minor, which is the name of a constellation of stars, and also means "little bear"

Oh dear, she is cute!! Out of your list, she's a Zoe to me! I also like the suggestion of Bernadette (OMG, so cute)! I love the photo of her 'wrestling' with your hand, hehe.

What a darling little thing!

I love the name Sula, I actually had it lined up for a black lab in the future.
