If the breeder doesn't choose the best pup for you, rather than appearance (of course it should seem healthy), I would choose a pup based on the personality evaluations. Does the breeder do any??

umm, I'm not sure really... Actually, the breeder lives about 3 hours away from me so we are going to drive there to pick him up! I am probably going to make my pic there after seeing them and making sure they're active and healthy!

You should ask her is she does them. Each pup has their own personality. For example, take my dog's siblings. There were 4 boys, including him. One was very dominant and independent, one was very submissive and not too confident, one was very active/lively and was in between, and Charlie was also in between but not as active. Some take more experienced owners than others, and do better in certain situations than others too.
