My puppy usually follows me around the house. Recently, she's begun to spear the back of my legs with her nose, or tackles my legs with her paws as I'm walking. Does this behavior have something to do with attention, domination, or something else perhaps?

Just about all of the dogs I've had for the past ten years or more have all tapped their noses into the backs of my legs when I'm walking around the house with them following. I've usually taken it to mean that they are acknowledging my status of leader within the home. I've talked to other people who dogs do this, and they also had the same impression of what it could mean.

The paws on the back of you just sounds like play. :)

I'd be inclined to discourage that. As she gets older, it can be very pesty and she's instigating the game, pushing you to give her attention. It's better if you don't give her any attention or acknowledgement and praise/give attention for games that you instigate...for the most part. I'm not a real stickler for that, but some of these pushy type behaviors would do well to be discouraged...IMO.
