newest system i have is an xbox and the only reason i have it is because someone owed me money and could only pay me back with an xbox. I have like 3 games and played it twice lol.

I'm not going to play them. I'm going to turn around and sell 'em haha.

I think it's highway robbery if you wanna know the truth. I would feel guilty ripping someone off charging that insane amount of money for something they could have gotten much cheaper if they were one of the lucky ones to get one reserved. But that's just me.

I think the base price of $600 is highway robbery. I can't imagine ever spending that much for a game. Gosh, think of all the bills that can get paid, food that be bought, and x-mas gifts that can be given for that amount.

But hey, if ya got money burning a hole in your pocket by all means spend a ridiculous amount of money on it.

...or, you could give to some charity for the holidays instead...you'll get better kharma that way.

why would you feel guilty? I'm not ripping anyone off. check ebay, thats the going rate. It's called ECONOMICS. Supply, demand, and inflation! It's the same thing our government does along with every single company/organization out there. Ripping someone off is when someone doesnt KNOW how much the item goes for. How is it ripping someone off when they know the orginal price and are willing to pay the inflated price? I dont get it?

So everyone who sells their house for more than they bought it for is also ripping people off right? after all they purchased their home for $500,000 and they're selling for $700,000 now.

There were pre sales, but not all stores had presales. Some are first come first served. If they were too lazy to wait in line to get one, obviously they need to pay more since the person who's selling it DID wait in line for one full day. Some even weeks.

P.S. I'm not buying the game system to play it. Its an opportunity to create income for myself. Why wouldnt you do the same? It's an investment.

And it is a darn smart way to do it too. I wish I would have thought of that. lol I must be ripping off people as well when I buy stuff on sale at wal-mart and then sell it for twice as much as I bought it on ebay. lol

I was just saying that ME personally would feel guilty for charging that much. I guess cuz it's the whole Christmas season that makes me think it's sad to charge so much money for something like that. If it were in the middle of the summer no one would pay that amount of money.

I guess I think about all the little kids that would love to have one of those games and will not be able to because people are buying them all up and selling them for a ridiculous amount of money. You do what you want, I'm not saying it's against the law or anything. I'm not stupid, I know about economics and inflation. What is so hard to understand that I personally would have an ethical problem with it because I would indeed feel guilty.

And selling a house it totally different. People do improvements, houses increase in value. It's a given that you're gonna sell your house for more than what you paid. We're talking about an electronic game here that really has no value per say and will not last like a house would.

I was just about to create a thread on this.. :)

I'm guaranteed 1 at this point, and I'm going to camp out for another one hopefully. I'm keeping one and selling the other..

$600 is a dang good price considering it plays Blu-Ray. That alone is worth the price tag..

Oh no! That's the last thing we need in our two-person household (we have one desktop and 2 laptops...and an xbox...there is no need for another game-console.) I promised hubby he could have a new TV...so our money will go towards that...the cables...a good audio system... *sigh* :)

It's a dang good price if you have $600 burning a hole in your pocket. Heck, even then, it's just a GAME. Seems like such a waste of money to me.
But then again, I'm not addicted to video games so I suppose they're not marketing it to me...

True.. you must be a gamer to understand this.. I went by Circuit city this morning and there are 4 tents there already. 1 tent at Target. So I'm going to try to camp out at Target starting tomorrow morning.. If I can get out my my afternoon meeting..

But seriously, it is a good bit of money. And the sad part about it all is that there will be people spending their rent money on this system..

There is a Best Buy store in Portland where people started camping out there yesterday to get it. A man hired some homeless people to camp out and buy some for him. He said that he will be able to sell them on Ebay for 3,000.00. Crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
