Has anybody used it or heard any good/bad things about it? I'm not yet that good in reading the ingredient labels and recognizing what is bad so I would love some opinions and if someone could rate how good/bad it is.

You can do much better, it isn't a premium food at all.

Rice is a great addition to dog food, but what kind of rice is it? White? Brown? What part of the rice?

Rice flour is a refined grain product. Whole grains are much more nutritious.

Ground corn and corn flour aren't the best. One premium company, Eagle Pack, uses high quality parts of corn in their dog foods, but most companies try to stay away from it. Again, these are refined grains.

Corn gluten meal is a processed protein source from corn. I would much rather see an animal-derived protein source.

Brewer's Yeast, as the name suggests, is a byproduct of the alcohol industry.

Salt is unnecessary and added only to increase palatability.

Thank you Herschel, that was very helpful :) I'll keep on looking for something else. The best I've found so far is Eagle Pack but there's plenty of time to perhaps find something even better since I won't get my pup before summer.

No particular reason I guess. I'm just curious what else is available so I can make the best choices possible, and also I want to see if I could find Innova but I doubt that, I'm not sure it's even sold in my country since I've never seen it.

We started with Wellness, but our dog had horrible diarrhea problems.

We switched to Canidae (not gradually) and everything improved tremendously. Eventually, our dog tired of the same food day after day, so we switched to Innova adult dry. It dulled his coat, his stool was either constipated or loose, he lost energy, and after a while he hated eating.

We went back with Canidae and things are great! We feed 1/3 cup per meal (which is slightly less than the bag recommends) along with some fresh or rehydrated vegetables with salmon oil or olive oil and he loves it! He licks the bowl clean every meal and his coat is back to its glossy, soft self. His stool is very regular and predictable, and we're saving a lot of money compared to the other premium brands.

Good luck!

Every dog reacts differently to foods and it's best to find what works for your dog. Staying within the brands recommended is a good way to start so you know you're at least feeding quality.

But it's not an ingredient to avoid, unless the dog has an allergy to it. Brewer's yeast is rich in B vitamins and amino acids.

I agree. A lot of people buy it in health food stores as a powder or tablet for the b vitamins it provides. Tastes nasty though  But I've heard dogs like it. I think I heard something about fleas tooo... that could be an old wives tale though.
