WTF is up with it?

LOL I know they are trying to prevent theft and what not but come ON.

We bought some infant motrin for Hannah. WE bought it at BJ's so it came with two boxes of it. So... First I have to take off the wrapping that keeps the two boxes together. Then each box is individually wrapped so I open those. THEN I open the box itself. THEN the dropper is individually wrapped so I open that. THEN the bottle itself is super duper wrapped.

So after ten minutes of farting around with it while I have a very grumpy teething child I FINALLY get it open and am able to give Hannah her medicine and put her to bed.

I swear... I broke a SWEAT!!!! :rofl1:

is all that wrapping REALLY nessecary? lol child proof? how about ADULT proof

Well, in this ligitigenous society that we live in, no company or product maker can be too careful in making sure that products are out of the reach of the kiddies, no matter how hard it makes for other peoples to open them.

Some of those are there for your protection in other ways...doesn't anyone remember the sicko putting cyanide into Tylenol (and maybe other drugs) a number of years ago? That's why it's gotten this way with drugs and a lot of foods now too.

Now...I do understand that for prescriptions, some places offer easy open bottles if you suffer from arthritis etc, and there aren't kids around that you are concerned of getting into them.

So a tamper evidence lid or tag isn't enough? they have to wrap it 6 times? lol

Sure. Lets not wrap it so much so your kid can down bottles of Tylenol
LOL WTF... YOu think I just leave the motrin laying around so Hannah can just open it on her own? not to mention it's a "child proof cap"

WOW. I'm really sorry I made this thread.

I can't REad AND I'm a bad mom :) all in one thread WOOT go me

sorry I just think like 6 layers of packaging is a little overkill... not to mention totally wasteful.
