problem

i have a 57lbs 9 month old germanshepherd/chow who can get hyper and jump and bite hard. Is this still normal this late. I hear that ur supposed to act like a tree to show she doesnt get a reaction from biting, but she still bites and it really hurts. What can i do. I dont want to make her agressive.

By nine months of age, this should have stopped. You need to get a handle on it.She needs to learn that she will get nothing she likes when doing this. End all playtime, walk away and let her know it hurts when she bites. When she does play nicely, reward her. Be sure she gets plenty of exercise to get the hyper stuff out. Also, give alternative behaviors. Practice obedience using positive methods every day. Give the dog a job to do. Exercise her mind and body. That will improve behavior in general.
