I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the preservatives in dog food, like which ones to look out for and which one are OK. On the dog food that I buy, it says that there are multiple Tocopherols with Vit. E in brackets beside it. Now I heard from a couple of different people that Purina wasn't a good brand because they used chemical preservatives that aren't very good for your dog, but the bag says the exact same Tocopherols preservative as the kind that I buy, so does any body know if what this is? ?
Does anybody have any suggestions as for what is a good food to feed your dog? I just got a new puppy and had to take him to the vet as he ate a toxic plant, anyway the vet gave me some Eukanuba food, which I thought was supposed to be one of the best, but it has Chicken By-product meal in it. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great! thanks alot! :D

scroll down to "Preservatives".

The problem is that manufacturers don't have to declare anything they don't add to the food, so if they buy for example chicken fat from a manufacturer that is already preserved with BHA, they do not have to declare it.

Feel free to browse around the rest of the site as well. :)
