For about the past 4 days, my son has been having anxiety/panic attacks to the point where he hyperventilates and eventually passes out. When he comes to it starts all over again. It's been the most terrifying thing that I have ever witnessed. I've had him in and out of the ER....tried to find a counselor to help him. He's been telling me that he's dying!!!!:( I looks at me with the most desparate look...and I've been helpless!!!!! Yesterday, I had to actually call the police to help me. I had taken him to the ER and the Dr kept fixating on the fact that he might be having withdrawals from drugs. They did a UA and it was positive for Marijuana. I'm not sure what's going on with him right now. All I can tell you is that it's awful!!!!

When the policeman came, he talked Brandon into talking to someone from an agency called Center For Living. He went to the appt, but they really aren't able to help him. They only have one counselor who can see him, and not until next Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yikes: It's because we have "private insurance" and are not on state assistance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got him into see a Dr yesterday in the late afternoon and he prescribed him some Xanax to get him through the next couple of days. When he was at the appt, he was much calmer, but by the time it got dark, they started in again!!!!:( I called a Pastor friend who I know who had also come to the ER to help yesterday morning, and he called a guy he knows who experienced some of the same things, and he came over at midnight to talk to him. He left about 2:30 and Brandon was a little better.

Brandon finally fell asleep about 4:30 this morning and is still sleeping.

Please send us lot's of Chaz prayers and good vibes. I pray that he will be better after some much needed sleep.

I'm sorry this email is all over the place. I'm just so thoroughly exhausted.

Oh my!.. I'm so sorry. This has got to be so extremely terrifying. I've kept him in my prayers very frequently, and will continue to do so.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm so scared and worried right now. I'm so afraid that when he wakes up that it will start all over again!!!:(

I really think this has a lot to do with his breaking up with his g/f recently. At least that's what he seems to be fixated on.

This is going to be a really long haul for our family, I'm afraid. :(

Sending prayers your way Dena! Brandon's been ill off and on for awhile, prior to the panic attacks. Did they tell you what the cause of his intestinal illness was that had him hospitalized last month? Odd thought, but I was thinking about what parasitic infections can do to the brain and central nervous system and how hard they are to diagnose sometimes. You've been through a lot lately, being caretaker for both your human and furry kids. I hope your son sees someone whose very thorough and gets to the bottom of this, so he's on the mend soon.

Thanks so much!!! I'm going to keep taking Brandon to the Dr he saw yesterday. We will get to the bottom of this!!!!

Brandon still hasn't been able to eat hardly anything for days on end!!! He is drinking some, so I guess that's what is most important.

I really feel that if he could get some good rest, some food & get hydrated that he would feel a little better.

I appreciate your thoughts and ideas. I'll mention that to the Dr when he sees him next.

Oh Dena. I am so very sorry your son is going through this. That is the hardest thing to watch...when your child is having such a difficult time. I do hope he gets the help he needs to get to the source of this. Such hard times. I will keep your son, you and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers. Do keep us posted. He's been through a lot, hasn't he.

prayers and vibes you got, and i don't think weed alone would do that. So the big question is what is? My son has had a couple panic attacks but not stacked. There has to be a stressor somewhere either outside or inside his body. I hope you find the answer soon.
