please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. We had a severe storm last night. It was only suppose to be a a minor thunderstorm but when I look around outside
it was most likely a tornado. I had all my animals put up well I was in the process of it when the new tent we bought one of those big white 20/20 gazebo type tent.. we just
got it last thursday. Any whooo it started to blow away and my mom called me over to help try and stop it. Well most of the metal poles were snapped and we ended up loosingit and it flew intio the garden. than my mom screamed for me t get inside... my whole life was outside.. My Dog .. My sheep and Hope the deer we were rehabbing.
I went back out side and grabbed my dog just as a huge gust of wind picked my sheep barn off he ground ad threw it down smashing it in three.. then smashing thjose pieces
in the fence totally destroying it. all that escaped my lips was My babies!!!!!!!!!!!!With Love safly in the bathroom I ran back for the sheep... I got half way there whe I ran into my mom
witrh Hope in her arms she looked dead... her neck in this strange way. She had been attached to the barn and thrown with it. I sat with her in the living room bawling b/c I had put her in there
Meanwhile my mom went back for my sheep. My male sheep somehow herded Precious and Harmony in betwen a bail of Hay and a loose piece of barb wire /chicken wire. He was leaning against
the wire holding them in. My mom was being blown away so nshe ncrawled next to precious ... More like squeezed.in And stayed there till it passed. There was no warnings for this weather
but our neighbors and us know it was more than rain.. more like a small tornado.. so we are trying to get in touch with the news.. .. It blew the roof off our storage shed.. and Our new addition
to the house may be ruined b/c there was no roof and the wind tore off the tarpes so the wood floor is drenched. No one is hurt except Hope she has a gash on her Neck and most likly a broken back leg...
Keep us in your prayers as we try to fix the damage... We have all the sheep tied to trees b/c there is nowhere else to put them.

OMG! That sounds absolutely terrifying. I'm glad everyone got through it and pray that 1. the wounded heal quickly and 2. that you all can fix/salvage what's been broken.

ty everyone.. No vets open today and we are not sure if any vet will help her leg being as she is a deer but she was trying to walk on it so it may not be broken..wont know for sure unless a vet will see her. We have put Zinc cream on her neck it is a huge round gash bigger than a quarter and at first it was only white tissue. I just hope someone will help her b/c when Flicka broke her leg we had to put her down b/c no one would do her leg... then again she was several months old but had never walked. (she was a lamb)

Can you believe the news station was closed today.

Labbreeder you live in Mo did you have anything?? We had no warnings on the Tv or internet or radio only a flood watch several counties away. My family and the neighbors are trying to contact the news b/c its weird neither of the towns around us had what we had but we have trees down and roofs missing all around us. There are two distinct paths so we think there was two tornados... We dont know all the damage yet but tomorrows another day.

PPl are right when they say the sky turns a greeny yellow.

So far we fixed one roof and are trying to see if we can dry the floor in the addition if not that is a whole lotta $$$ gone I hope its sunny tomorrow.

OMG! I'm surprised you still have power after that!! Eep!

SOo glad that no one was "seriously" hurt.

What a good little Ram protecting his flock though! Definately have to give him credit for that! Smart thinking for a sheep!

Definately keep us updated on this!! Thats very scary!! :(

you have my prayers. I'm so sorry you got hit with such a bad storm. I hope your deer does okay. Will your vet be open tomorrow? What about a wild life vet.... if your regular vet won't look at a wild animal.. .the wild life vet sure will. Good luck!

update....
We have fixed our storage shed and picked up alot of our stuff around the yard. We still have to somehow get a new barn... We are trying to get the addition finished it looks as though the floor might make it. Right now we are checking with all the neighbors (some we havent met) To make sure they and their animals are ok. It looks as though the storm hit us first then moved toward the dairy but it looks like to diffrent paths.

Hope is going to be fine!!!!! Her leg/hip is just bruised she is now walking lightly on it. We just have to make her comfortable. And protect her from the coyotes.
