Potty traning?

Hello, i dont have a dog yet but i will be getting one sometime in june. iv been researching alot and im rather confused on the pottytraning part, i know u keep the puppy in the crate and that you have to take it outside when it starts to go, but im still confused with the rest. since i will own the dog, i will have to take care of it(obviously) and my parents will help alittle. But im having alot of trouble tring to understand everything, could anybody give me a link or tell me a more simpler way to do it(if there is one).

Ps. Im aready under pressure and i dont even have a dog!

If you have any specific questions that you need answered, post away.

During the first 2 weeks, I took the pup out when: it woke up from sleeping or napping, after eating, after drinking water, and always every 2 hours (day and night). One of us was always home so we could do the 2 hours even during sleep time. After 2 weeks, the pup was 99% housetrained to go outside. I never did this before, but learned this method on this board and it worked.

I also told the pup: "good pee" "good poop" when the pup did this outside to learn this was being a good puppy.
