I agree, I rescued a year old beagle boy named Pete, he was an outside dog, with only one day human contact a year (he was bought to use to hunt, but only did it once and for only a day) he was tied up outside to a dog house, and had no human interaction what so ever, and never been in the house, it just broke my heart so I asked them if I could have him, and they said yes, but when I got him home, my "baby" wanted to eat him, so I had to give him up, but it broke my heart, he's a Cleveland Brown now, in a really nice home, with ladies that stay with him ALL DAY LONG, so it was a better mover for Pete the beagle, but in anycase, he wasn't housebroken at all, so I would take him outside, as soon as he was done playing, and I did it when I had a little extra time, so I'd stay out with him until we went, and when he did, I told him "good boy, and praised him with petting and hugging" he ate that up, and now his new owners say he's complelty potty trained, I think the key is to do it all the time, and watch when he goes to tell him it's good, so he/she knows, what you want from them. Did I mention, he's the cutest little guy? OMG!!!!
