Hey all,
We had both of our dogs boarded at a kennel and when we picked them up one of ours a alaskan malamute/lab mix came back itching herself like she had fleas so we didn't think of it as anything big and just treated her for fleas she still kept itching and she was treating a second time now it is looking like mange or however you spell that? We read online to wash everything like dog beds blankets everything we cleaned the furniture yesterday and are washing everything constantly. We are not positive it is mange. We also read it is contagious not only to our other dog but to humans! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY suggestions as what to do or what to treat her with? We are giving her a bath today and also our other dog and we will keep giving them a bath every 10 days, to make sure our other dog doesn't get it and try to get rid of it on our other dog. We looked at pictures online of dogs with mange and hers is not NEARLY as bad as the pics. We will of course not take either of them back to that boarding, should we call them and let them know? Or is there anything out at the kennel that they would have to worry about like germs from it? We're leaving in an hour to go to PetsMart and ask them what to do (they also have a vet there) we're going to buy whatever is needed but if you all have any suggestions, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
THANKS SO MUCH....The first think I thought to do was get on Chazhound and see what info I got
