SO OF COURSE TODAY IS THE DAY OUR DAUGHTER BRINGS HOME SHEET MUSIC FOR HER RECORDER!! She's very new to this, and....ahem....still needs lots of practice--and poor Andrew is being a wonderful father and is helping her :D

I'm hiding in the basement so I can't hear LOL!

However, I'll try.

LMAO, I'm laughing so hard because when I first started reading this thread, all I could think about is my 8 yr old just started violin lessons through school, and she thinks if she moves the bow to the rythm, she's playing Mary Had a Little Lamb. Only she does it over and over and .... yes, over. Then when you posted the same torturing song, I died laughing. That song must be the universal starter song for every instrument. LOL, still laughing while typing.

Hope you all are feeling better !

Avenlee, now you've got me laughing!!!

Makes me pity my parents....3 children, all of us played piano, my older sister played trumpet, my younger sister played flute I think and I played cello, then alto sax at school (Mary and that poor suffering lamb multiplied by 7).

I'm laughing to hard thinking of Mary and her little lamb. Maybe she'll improve quickly for both of you.

feeling your pain as I remember the infamous recorder....and may I say that some memories should just stay in the hidden depths of your mind. needless to say, both my children were so 'good' at it....it ended their musical career immediately. have you encountered dance classes yet??......YIKES to those recitals. (you know you'll probably have a recorder recital to endure) :) :)

My older daughter plays the alto sax. But she's been playing it for 6 or 7 yrs now, so she's better listening to. I wanted my middle daughter to take up the trumpet, but she's more into soccer, thank goodness!

now i feel really bad for my parents...i played the violin from the age of like, 5, till i was a senior in high school. and i was god awful. I was allowed to practice, so that didnt really help me get better...i always got yelled at whenever i tried to practice :(

Hahaha! The sound of 20 of those things is enough to make nearly anyone's ears bleed.
Poor Andrew. :p (And Migraines really suck, hope you both feel better soon.)

I played on an electric keyboard (with headphones) and a guitar. I played a recorder in elementary school but never had to take it home to practice.
