My bf left town for 13 days and now he's back, well we just discovered this last nite, I think Ailey is doing it out of revenge she pooped under the bed like 4 times and only since he's been home.

You think she is mad at him

Nope.

I think she is a puppy - and perhaps excitement, or inconsitancy will be causing her to poo.

Make sure you're following a strict routine with the house training :D

I think if she is only 3 months old she has to much freedom if she is able to poop under the bed 4 times.

At 3 months old, puppies can't be held responsible for their actions... this is just a little glitch you'll be able to fix easily.

The first thing that I would take a look at is whether you changed her schedule at all... either because you were happy to have your BF back and were giving him extra attention :) and not staying on top of the puppy or because you were keeping track of her pottying on your own when BF was out of town, and once he was back, each of you might have been thinking that the other was keeping Ailey on her potty schedule.

She definitely shouldn't have the freedom to make those kinds of mistakes, so just get back to supervising her more carefully until she's a bit older. As long as you don't allow this to become habitual, you'll be fine!

Don't forget to clean the area well with pet odor neutralizer, and you might find it helpful to feed her in that area for a week or so to remind her it's not a toilet!

Are you sure they can't hold a grudge? lol

Well my boyfriends had it with her, he says she doesn't listen, I don't know what to do, I am a softy.

She is bitting and being a puppy, but like I do let her have a lot of freedom in the evenings because she is locked up while I am at work. I don't know what to do.

Like when I get home from work, I let her go in the bathroom while I shower, should I lock her up in her cage?? She just crys and yelps than and I feel bad. So I let her sit in the bathroom:rolleyes:

The yelping and crying is normal in a crate when training. A lot of dogs/puppies do it. She might have a case of SA. I wouldn't recommend letting her in the bathroom with you when you shower. If you always give in and let her have her way then it's going to be that much harder to crate train her and get her used to being away from you.

Does she have any toys in her crate to occupy her? I would leave her in the crate for a small amount of time while you're there so she can get used to not always being right at your heels. Start off slow. Put her in the crate. Close the door. Then open the crate door and treat her. Start extending the time she's in the crate. Leave her in there for a minute, then open the door and treat her. Then 2 minutes... etc... Go at whatever pace seems to work for both of you. She should eventually learn that the crate is her place of comfort and enjoy it.

Don't give in all the time. I know you say you're a softy. I'm a softy too, but you need to learn where to draw the line. By always giving in to her whines etc... you're only enabling her to continue to develop more behavior problems. And no, they don't hold a grudge.

I don't see why she would HAVE TO be in her crate while you're showering. When Fozzie was a puppy, he used to hang in the bathroom while I was showering and getting ready.... sometimes, he even hopped in with me! ; ) As long as your bathroom is safe, puppy-proofed, she preferably has a toy or a chewie to occupy her, and she potties outside right before you shower.

The key to potty-training is not even giving her the opportunity to potty inside. Take her out more than she needs. Two times more than she needs. Three times more! When Fozzie was 9 weeks old, whenever anyone was home, he went outside to potty every 30 minutes. Yeah... it is overkill, but he learned that he got treats when he pottied outside, so he looked forward to going out. He also got plenty of exercise and leash experience, which is important as well.

If you feel like she's spending too much time in the crate and want to have her out with you, that's great, but make sure you're holding her in your lap or have her on the leash with you... any freedom to roam the house freely will lead her down a naughty path!

When you're in the shower, it's fine for her to be in the bathroom with you IF she hasn't had any accidents in there and you're sure she's empty. If she has a history of having accidents when she's free in the bathroom, you might consider tethering her. Put her little dog bed and some toys or chewies in there, then put her on her leash and tie her to a cabinet handle with only enough leash that she can hang out on her bed. You'll do this only when you're there in the room with her, of course... she shouldn't be tethered when left alone.

For the other "puppy stuff"... hire a trainer, take a puppy class or read a good dog training book. Most puppies start out like this... and they turn out to be lovely dogs. It just takes a little time and training!
