He was fed about a 3/4" x 2" piece of turkey and before I could stop him he swallowed it. I think he had a difficult time getting it down and was in shock for a minute or two afterward. He was very excited beforehand, but afterward he completely calmed down and was panting. I'm worried it's going to be hard for him to digest--should I be? He has had some water since and seems interested in food, but I'm not letting him eat anything else (for now). I was thinking of giving him some canned pumpkin--would this be beneficial to him at all? Thanks for reading and for any advice you have to offer :)

I may have just hurt going down . I wouldn't worry unless he acts like he's choking .

My dogs have done that a few times, and I could tell it hurt going down (I have done that before). If hes still interested in food and is drinking, nothing to worry about IMO!
