ok well i gt my puppy a while ago and i luv him to bits hes a king charles cavalier soo beautiful and at first before i brought im everything was discussed - how we were going 2 keep him but he came and afta a while my mum couldnt stand keeping him in the house. she couldnt take all the hair everywhere and the smell and well a lot of people we kno keep their dog outdoors and she tld me to train him so he would stay out. I tried my very best but he would cry and come and scratch at the window and jus wait there and never tire. And i kno this was evil and im jus like every dog owner but eventually we had to give him away, and my mum gave him to a friend, so tht for the holidays and stuff he could come bak. but my mums friend keeps him on a farm and altho he is with another dog (i liked that idea alot) he isnt always fed properly, never washed, gets tied up frequently and is also kept outdoors. the onli thing that satisfies me is that he has another dog so he isnt bored. My mum has agreed to let him come bak as long as he stays outside but im not sure whether to bring him bak, becos i kno he will be BORED outside, atleast on the farm he has another dog, but i will take SOOO much care of him if he is at my house. I feel soo guilty and sooo bad and plz plz think how difficult it is for me and tell me whether i should bring him and keep im outside in LUXURY or leave im there...Plz, i need solutions...and try nt to be too horrible about it! i dnt think ill b able to take it...:'(

First of all, it is cruel to leave a dog outside 24/7 no matter how "luxury" you make it. I think your best bet would be to find the dog a home with a family who will let him live indoors. Good luck

I think you should talk to your mom and explain that you really love this dog and you don't want to keep it outside. Maybe you could brush it every couple of days so that it won't shed so much. Why does it "smell", is it not housebroken or does it need a bath more often? I am pretty sure you can work out these issues and hopefully your mom will understand that having a pet requires some adjustments on everyones part. Having a pet that you take care of and love is a very important part of growing up to be a responsible adult. It will help you all though your entire life. It is worth a bit of work and a few sacrifices on everyone's part, in my opinion.

I agree with Bobsk8!!! Talk to your mom and tell her that you want to keep the dog and it will take both of you to take care of the pup. Ask her if you could enroll in a training class, it is a whole lot easier to have a pup inside if it is trained. Also try to brush your pup once or twice a day. Make sure that you have the pup on a skedule it will make it easier on you and your mom to housetrain your pup if it is on a routine. If the pup smells make sure that he is not rolling in somthing he should not be. Good Luck!!!!

thnx guys for the fantastic replies. its all helping clear my hed! ...btw when i say outdoor dog, this dosnt mean i wont get tym to play with him or walk him or any of that, and he will probably sleep indoors. throughout the day tho, he will be left in a clean garden, with plenty of toys and obstacles, a weatherproof kennel...im wondering, wt do u reckon he'll miss if i kept him outside?...i Kno he'll miss company and i kno dogs are pack animals and should be around people all the tym...but wht if eventually...i mean EVENTUALLY afta ive defnitly decided im keeping him and hes getting on alright in the back garden, i get another dog or puppy? i kno it wont solve all the problems but itll help solve his loneliness?

If you are having problems with how, and if, you can keep this dog you don't need to get another one.

Well if you cannot keep this dog inside all the time I would not get another dog.
