As promised in my "hello to the forums" note yesterday - we met Milo our puppy yesterday! She is a zillion times more gorgeous than we ever anticipated. Mum, Tess, was just lovely too. Met us at the door and almost "checked us out" before letting us in the back to meet Milo! Very affectionate, docile and observant - also on the smaller side so we're hoping Milo will be too.

In our ridiculous, childlike excitment of the day we completely forgot to take our camera with us so we had to resort to the mobile phone camera which takes very hazy shots. Rest assured we'll be taking some good quality ones as soon as she's home and we get to use the real camera!

Question for the panel though. Breeder and vet have confirmed that she's not to play with other dogs or visit parks / communal areas until she's completed all her vaccinations (a week after her last round - which is scheduled at 11 weeks). So she's obviously confined to the house and garden which should not be a prob. However, we have a neighbourhood cat (Marmalade) which has decided to call our home his home - he's clearly a family cat becuase he's very healthy and sociable. Just wondered what you would advise - do we ban Marmalade from the premises until Milo is fully vaccinated ?

She is Beautifull!! Feeling very jealous!! ;) Not sure about the whole cat situation as I've never had a very small puppy! Always had rescued dogs. Gus was nearly a year old when we got him! I do know that fleas and worms are dangerous for small puppies so make sure that Marmalade is flea free when in your house!! :)

Hey All,
I'm Scott of Sarah and Scott fame - can't wait until we get Milo - I think the rest of the family are as excited as we are - unfortunately I can't take her with me next time I go back to NZ!

LOL -
thanks - more pics as and when we get them -
We chose Milo as it's a cool name - but also the name of a really popular southern hemisphere "cocoa"-like drink (all the other females have been named Cocoa!)
