Help save one is a wonderful organization that pulls rehabilitates dogs from high kill gassing shelters, yes, there is such thing, its hearbreaking but not illegal in some states. Many animals that come in require serious medical attention prior to being adopted, but they all need a second chance at life.
Just click on the purple square with a doggie, then select RI and the Help Save One.
