Please help!

Hey guys, I have a question for a friend.

Their dog just started to act odd from herself. She has been shaking, and hiding from everyone, but hasn't to their knowledge had any reason to be scared. They also said she was panting alot, and seems to be looking for cool places to lay.

They are worried it may be lyme disease, but I just thought I'd ask here if anyone knew if it could be anything else as she was just talking about it with me. (Although I don't know much about that)

Shivering and panting can also be signs of pain.

I would get this dog to the vet asap.

Shivering and hiding are classic signs of pain. You have to take you dog to the vet right away. It could be many things. Some harmless some possibly fatal. You can't take the risk. you dog has to go to the vet. People here can guess what is wrong, but why put her at risk when the answer is simple. Take her to the person who can truly help her.
