A great family friend is coming down to stay with us, arriving this Saturday and is going to help me convince the fam that yes, we need a new puppy! (-: Did I mention she's also putting in her own money towards the puppy?
So that should be fun.
Really nothing else...

John is always off on Mondays anyway, so we'll probably just be outside as usual. He'll work on his cars and I'll work with the horses.

My parents are coming up tomorrow to help us move. So we will be moving and doing work on the house light painting, yardwork, organizing and such.

We are also all going out to dinner for my sister's B-day.

I must be the only one, but I LOVE a first day/night in a new house. Get to organize and make things the way you want them. Just awesome lol.

My family all have other plans ....so Ollie and I will be working on the yard and listening to the Indy 500 on radio ... TV black out here . I can hear the roar from my patio and having been to the race yearly from the 50s until the 70s loved going !! Many happy memories with family and friends . I will visit Tom's bench and plant some flowers too . It's a bitter/sweet day for me .

Nope... we will be busy getting everything we need for our trip the weekend after.

Although if it is warm I wouldn't mind putting some ear plugs in Hannahs ears and maybe taking her to see some fireworks somewhere.

I'm going to my sister's...and I'm soooo excited. lots and lots of 'girl gab'. maybe she can talk..walk me thru getting my hair cut. LOL suddenly I'm a big baby about cutting long hair, but I NEED a style. lots of good food (hey...we're allllllll about food) AND after a solid week of rain, the sun is out and it is to be warm thru the weekend! WOW. that alone is huge. the rain is good...my woods are a lush green. but the gloom has been a bit overwhelming. soooooooo...I'm packing my little bag today. she lives a couple hours away, and I just don't see her enough. doing the happy dance..........:)

I'm hoping to possibly go to Nolu's on Saturday... Sunday I'm probably going over to Brendan's brother's house... but not positive. Monday my friend Devon and I may go riding for a little bit... I'm really upset though because I left my riding helmut out in the sun too long and the visor melted a little so that the visor is now shaped a little weird...

Sunday, we're having a Memorial Day get-together at my parent's house. We always do it on Sunday instead of Monday. That way, we can have fun until late at night.

We're not barbecuing. We've barbecued almost every weekend for the past two months, and we wanted something different. Instead, we're firing up the propane burners outside and doing an outdoor fry-up. And as is usual for my family, we're cooking both American and Asian food. Beer battered chicken tenders, tempura vegetables and seafood, seaweed salad, Thai squid salad, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and rice. I'm sure there will be a few more things---we kinda throw them together as we think of them. ;)

And of course, beer. Beer is good. :D

Monday, I'm going to go to one of the remembrance services around town. The local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Chapter is going to have one at our city's Vietnam memorial. I'm probably going to go to that one.

...you don't get memorial day fireworks??

Today I plan on going and putting in job applications at a couple places...YAY! And maybe going to another farm to see another horse. Saturday morning I'll be helping my Dad open the pool and clean up the yard. Saturday afternoon I'm going to ride Fan for the first time and maybe go on a trail ride with his owner and my mom. It's also Milo's "gotcha" weekend, so we're hopefully going to do something nice with him...My dad and I are going kayaking sometime this weekend and he's getting his bike back from the shop after like two years (Honda RC51) so I may go ride with him.
