Hey guys! Was hoping you could help me come up with some ideas for my advanced class's graduation party. This is the first advanced class I've had with more than 1 dog, and it's also my last class. (I'm leaving PetSmart)

We're on week 4 this week, 4 more to go, but I want to plan now to make it really great for them. Some of these students have been with me the entire time I've been at PetSmart (1 year 4 months when I leave), and are very special to me.

So here's what we did in puppy/beginner and intermediate.

Beg: Trick Contest
Tic-Tac-Toe: We lay out a board using long leashes, and split into teams. The PP takes the dog to the spot and rolls two dice, one says what to do and one says how to do it. (Sit, verbal only. Down, no lure. Stay, while YOU sit. ETC) If they get it, they get the spot.
Musical Sits: Put out chairs, the PP walk around, when the music stops everyone does a sit-stay and sits in their chair. If the dog gets up, the person gets up and someone else can steal their chair.

Intermediate: trick contest
tic-tac-toe: Similar to beginner, but this time the dogs have to sit-stay in a row to make a row of three. If we don't have enough dogs we'll play the beginner way but with harder tricks.
relay: PP gets a spoon and a tennis ball, and heels with the dog, holding the leash and the spoon in the same hand (if they can). Split into teams and race.

Advanced: trick contest....
What else? We're going to take photos of course, but I need some good ideas for games.

I'm thinking of a few off of here:
Great dog party games!

We could do the mat game, similar to our musical chairs but with go park it.

Over the past 3 classes the students have learned:
sit, down, stay, come, drop it, take it, leave it, shake, roll over, spin, loose leash walking,
heel, wait, two tricks of their own design, go park it (go to bed/mat), settle, stand (all four paws on the ground)
how to take/pass the CGC test, put away their toys, retrieving, two more tricks

We've done things so far like working on grooming/nail grindings, heeling side-by-side, recalls away from other dogs, etc.

So. How shall we celebrate? Week 7 will be a run through of the test, and I'm going to write up what they need to continue working on. One or two of the students will likely be working with me outside of the store after this.

I appreciate any ideas!!!
