There is nothing I can say that will make you feel better. The pain will still be there.

But, thank you for giving Pixie the life that she had. You loved her and cared for her and fought for her when people wanted to take her back. You showed her true love and compassion. Some people can only hope for such a thing in life.

Before you know it, you will be looking back on all the great memories and you will smile.

I feel for you. My dog was hit by a car 2 weeks ago today and was killed. Like Pixie, she had a bloody leg and was most likely dead on contact. I was just glad she was in one piece though so we could burry her.

All I have to say is I'm so sorry and comfort your other dog. Also, don't blame of yourself.
