Face it folks !! There are those who love the breed and want them as family members....others who breed to only to appeal to those who want to dismember.

And it is these "others" that we should go after, fine them and imprision them until they move on and leave this wonderful breed a lone.

I love pit bulls... and one day I'll have one of my own
I have fostered a couple pits (not exactly sure what breed - but the pit type) and I have to say I love working with them. I love their muscle, drive, loyalty, and braveness . . .

On of my favorite dogs is a little brindle pit that I used to run into everyday when I was walking down the street (to feed a neighbors horses when I was staying with my uncle for half a year). Maddie and "Youniek" (pronounced unique) were the best of buddies. Maddie, Youniek, Sasha (a GSD from across the street) and George (a JRT from next door - all were always off leash :( ) would all play off leash (I'd let Maddie off when I was watching her) in the field the horses weren't occupying. Maddie and the pit were the most well behaved out of them all - never disturbing the horses, chickens, guineas, ect. The owner would realize she was too far from home and call her back. I wanted to take her home... haven't seen her in a while *gets dreamy look* I'd love to have a dog just like her!

[as a side note this brought up a lot of fond memories... but unfortunately I heard 2yrs ago that Sasha killed several chickens after her owners forgot to feed her one day, and they of course were not watching or paying any attention to her. The owner of the farm called animal control and complained. They fined the owners and told them she had to be on a leash at all times... they had her PTS instead... :( :(]
