She needs to get used to the lead first.
I would just attach it to her collar in the house and supervised, and just let her pull it around until the objection stops. You might need to do this several short times. Also give her a couple treats to get her attention off of the lead.

Try just following her around while holding the leash; don't try to guide her with it yet. Give lots of praise. When she does well with that, start encouraging her to follow you as you walk. Use a favorite toy or treat.

She'll get the hang of it. ;)

Here's another suggestion: do you use the leash on her every time she goes outside? If not, start doing it. That way, she'll associate the leash with a positive experience.

That sounds like a good idea.

I did that to get my pup used to th leash.....every time I took her out to pee, I'd put the leash on her. After she did her business, we'd play for a little while while she was on her leash. We took her for her firsy walk last week and she loved it although she is still getting used to it.

Do NOT let your puppy out at 10 weeks, especially not in places where she can be in contact with other dogs.

There is NO WAY a puppy is fully vaccinated so young... My vet said they need a booster at 16 weeks, some say 12 weeks, but either way, 10 weeks is way too young, they are still under their mom's immunization at this age and thevaccines probably did nothing... so as soon as the immunization wears out, she WILL catch something if she's exposed to it.

I would get another vet, if yours really told you that the last injection is at 10 weeks.

In the UK we only have 2 sets of injections, 8 weeks and then 10/11 weeks.

Wait one week then you are safe to go out. Bodhi was out at about the age of 11 weeks. Fully vaccinated and with the approval of the vets.

This person could be in the uk, or anywhere :)

There is a lot of literature at the moment regarding the effectiveness of yearly boosters, generally saying that they are not any use.

Obviously, the initial puppy vaccines are essential, but after that you can look at your dogs bloodwork to check on antibody levels rather than pump them full of drugs they probably don't need.

Yes, you can use tithers (whatever the spelling is...).

I'll never understand why vets can't agree about vaccinations for the first few months... Whether you are in uk or not, if a pup still has his mom's immunizations at 10 weeks, vaccinations will be useless before they wear off, sometimes not until 13 weeks, then you have to give another booster to make sure the pup is vaccinated. At least it's what I read online, and what my vet told me.

So yeah, I just don't get it...
