I couldn't get that link to work Andrew.. but I think maybe its the one of the door in the grass? That one's a root cellar.. pretty much a big hole in the ground with a door.. used for storing foods.. keeping them cool. They were used by pretty much everyone in Twillingate.. not so much now of course. But some people still use them for their home grown veggies.

I love the rattie ones too! If you ever want to see a litter of hamster babies, just tell me, I took a bunch of pics when mine had an accidental litter. Unfortunately you can't handle them until they're 10 days old, so they're just huddled up in the nest.

Hahaha.. underground where the 'little people' live!

But yes.. underground.. they just dug into the side of a hill.. made a kind of room.. put beams and such in there somehow, to keep it stable.. and slapped on a door!
